Clairac Castle is truly a unique property steeped in romance and modern luxury while preserved in an untouched historical environment listed as a “Patrimoine de France”. The experience of an authentic, aristocratic French art de vivre in a real family chateau home will ensure a unique and unforgettable discovery of this beautiful region. Built in the 17th and 18th centuries, Castle Clairac was originally a hunting castle visited by Louis VI King of France.

Guests will enjoy seven hectares (17 acres) of breathtaking views over the valleys and rivers of Lot and Garonne, a fenced, beautifully maintained park surrounding the immediate property, and a magnificent deep, saltwater swimming pool. The area offers leisure options for everyone and, of course, exquisite gastronomy, wine and armagnac.

Clairac Castle is rented out as a whole, guaranteeing ultimate exclusivity and privacy. Cooking services are not offered, however, cleaning services can be provided upon request.

INTERIOR:

Clairac Castle is comprised of four floors with a total living area of 700 m² (7,535 ft²). Each room is styled differently, with slight modern touches mixed in with tradition, resulting in an homage to the castle's impressive historic architecture. The decor remains faithful to the 18th and 19th century with luxurious silk wallpapers, moldings and paintings.

The GROUND FLOOR of the chateau offers a welcoming entrance hall with original epoque black and white checked flooring leading straight on through the property towards the terrace door, which overlooks the pristine gardens. The salon, luxurious dining room, main kitchen, summer kitchen, office and play room are also located on the ground floor. There are three bathrooms on this floor, including one with shower.

On the FIRST FLOOR, you will find three bedrooms (1 with ensuite bathroom) in addition to a bathroom with a shower and a laundry room. All bedrooms have gorgeous views of the side of the gardens. The princess room is a magnificent master bedroom with ensuite bath, including a luxury lion-foot bathtub located on the second floor in one of the towers of the castle. The breathtaking views from the three large windows of the master bedroom overlook the gardens, swimming pool and valleys of the Lot and the Garonne rivers.

This floor also offers a charming living room with TV and a stunning dining room with an open tower kitchen. The views from these rooms are spectacular.

The TOP FLOOR offers two large tower bedrooms, two additional bedrooms and one full bathroom with shower. One of the larger bedrooms on this floor has a communicating door to one of the smaller bedrooms, which is ideal for parents wishing to stay near by children.

Wifi is available throughout Clairac Castle and the large office on the ground floor offers a perfect place for any business requirements.

EXTERIOR:

The outside area is comprised of a stunning 1000 m2 garden where you will find the spectacular swimming pool - a vibrant heart of the property during summer time, spring and parts of the autumn depending on the weather. A barbecue, hammock, dining furniture and pool loungers make this a perfect place to relax, hang out and enjoy the beautiful views of Castle Clairac.

The elegant rooms have all been decorated by hand and refurbished with a contemporary touch that will make modern visitors feel right at home.

*Please note: while Clairac Castle is perfect for all guests, it is important to note that all bedrooms are located on high floors, which means there is some exercise involved when staying with us. Only three bedrooms offer ensuite bathrooms, which means guests should be prepared to share bathrooms.

**It is also important to note that although the owners of Clairac Castle have restored and maintained the property in very high standard, the age and nature of the property must be kept in mind when staying with us. This is not a modern, perfect property; it is a home full of charm and life, infused in past and present comforts.
