Chateau Diane

The main castle of Chateau Diane was built in 1620. The chateau and its 32 hectares (79 acres) is blessed by Diane, the goddess of hunting. This magical property, situated on the romantic Cosson River, is located just outside the famous Chateau Chambord and close to all of the other wonders that the Loire has to offer. A stay at Chateau Diane is like stepping back in time and living as royalty, close to nature and beauty in a Chateau that has aged beautifully with time. Chateau Diane can accommodate up 28 guests in 16 spacious and well appointed bedrooms. Chateau Diane is perfect for large family gatherings, weddings, reunions or families wishing to share memorable times together. Chateau Diane has a pool with pool house, tennis court, and facilities for large banquets.



Upon entering Chateau Diane you will be surrounded by history as you discover the spacious and beautifully decorated living room with majestic fireplace, comfortable couches, and piano. The main dining room also has a fireplace and can be used for formal sit down meals or to organize a stand up cocktail or other events. The French doors look out onto the Cosson River. The paintings that adorn the walls tell a story all in themselves. The ceilings throughout are not to be missed. From the large dining room, there is a smaller dining room for more intimate meals.
With time, the Pavillon was added to the main Chateau and dates back to the 18th century. On the ground floor is a study with fireplace, bookshelf, computer with photocopier, stereo, MP3 player, couches and tables.
Behind the study is a fully equipped kitchen with cutlery and dishes for up to 35 guests. The kitchen also looks out onto the Cosson. Next to the kitchen is the laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
Under this part of the Castle, there is a professional kitchen which can only be used by professional chefs. This is perfect for weddings and large gatherings. Next to the professional kitchen is a large dining room with arched ceilings, fireplace, and dining capacity of 50 guests. This is the perfect room to organize a Renaissance dinner with costumes!
In the 19th Century, a third part was added to the castle. On the ground floor is the hunter's dining room. This room also has a fireplace. This is a good place for organizing wine tastings or other smaller gatherings.
On the second floor of the main Castle are the following bedrooms:

- a Suite with two bedrooms, couch, TV and full bath with shower
- a suite with a king size bed or two single beds with bathtub
- Jr. suite with a king size bed or two single beds with bathtub
- Children's bedroom with a single bed
- Bedroom with a queen size bed
Next to these bedrooms, there is a library with couches, bean bags TV and DVD. There is also a game table for backgammon.

On the second floor of the 18th century section of the castle, you will find the following:

- Large suite with 5 bedrooms all sharing a full bath with bathtub. This is a perfect part of the castle for children. Please see bed sizes below in the detailed information.

In the 19th Century section of the castle is a suite with two bedrooms. One bedroom has 2 single beds and the second has a queen size bed. These bedrooms share an en suite bathroom with shower.

Outside of the Chateau and just in front, is the Orangerie. At one point, part of this building was the chapel. It has been transformed into a very lovely suite with a king size bed or two twin beds upon request. This suite has a bathtub and shower.
Next to this bedroom is the main room of the Orangerie which can be used for weddings, gatherings, dinners etc. It is 130m2 and has 5 toilets, one of them for the handicapped. There is also a piano, stereo and MP3 player. Of course there are chairs, tables and all that is needed for a large dinner. This reception room can also be decorated.

The last two bedrooms are located in the gate house which is at the entrance to the property. These two suites are more modern in style and each have beautiful new bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bathtub. There is also a living room. The second suite is located on the second floor while the first is on the main floor.

Just down from the gate house is the beautiful pool house and pool. This is sure to be a gathering point as there is a full kitchen, Barbecue and seating for 35. The area around the pool is beautifully landscaped.

In another part of the garden is the tennis court.

Chateau Diane is for special gatherings and the owner is happy to make your wishes come true!




The Loire Valley is rich in history and beauty. If it's your first time, there are many castles to visit, and charming villages. Other reasons to come to this area are for hunting, golf, wine tasting, horseback riding, rides in a hot air balloon or just a time to retreat into nature.

Special experiences can be arranged. Some of them include: hot air balloon rides, fireworks, horseback riding, bicycle rentals, cooking classes, wine tasting, excursions in the area, canoe rentals, helicopter rides etc.
