Chateau Elegant is a magnificent 19th century chateau in the Loire Valley which as been completely renovated for your every comfort.

Chateau Elegant sits in an estate of 22 acres (9 hectares) of formal gardens, vegetable garden, orchard, woodland and rolling fields and is just a short walk from the picturesque town of Langeais, on the Loire river between Tours and Angers.


Chateau Elegant offers double and twin accommodation for up to 18 guests, in 9 individually designed en-suite bedrooms and suites over two floors.

Activities at Chateau Elegant include an outdoor heatable swimming pool, golf driving range, badminton, disc/frisbee golf, croquet, outdoor table tennis, trampoline and pétanque. Chateau Elegant is close to many activities, vineyards and large châteaux open to the public.

The team was an absolute joy to work with - they helped us organize every detail of a long weekend with friends at Chateau. They recommended caterers, cooking classes, horse back riding, wine tasting, scheduling - no detail was overlooked! I always knew getting married in a French Chateau was going to be unforgettable but the Chateau is a truly magical place. I spent months researching other Chateau's and nothing came close to it. The size of it and history really blew me away and meant all of our guests could be together for the whole week. Not only is the Chateau restored and kept beautifully the grounds are truly spectacular. The tree lined alley is truly a majestic place. I knew from the minute I saw it on photographs that I wanted my ceremony to take place there. It didn't disappoint, the sun was sparkling through the trees and bats were flying around! I will never forget it. It was the perfect setting to say 'I do'.The most important thing for us was when planning our wedding was that we didn't want a package wedding which you find a lot when getting married abroad. We wanted the freedom of creating our own wedding with our own style and at Chateau Elegant the opportunities are endless. The grounds are so huge and varied, you can have your wedding as unique as you like. We also like to party and didn't want anyone telling us we had to turn the music off or down by a certain time. Another plus to book this place was that the Chateau manager Tiphaine is also a wedding planner. It gave me confidence to trust her as she knows the place and area inside and out, she has a huge suppliers list that she has experience working with and she was amazing at negotiating great prices for us (in French). We couldn't of done it without her. She was patient and organized and went above and beyond her position to help not only plan the wedding day but the wedding week! She helped us organize many activities during our stay which wasn't an easy task when your trying to manage 55 people who keep changing their minds every other day! She was fantastic, I cannot recommend her enough and I will miss our Skype calls and emails. I had guests coming from all over the world so it was great having Poitiers international airport 60minutes away and the train station for links from Paris. The place is perfect and has everything you need. My guests were blown away by the chateau, the children had a fantastic time everyone said it was one of the best week of their lives and some even said it was the wedding of the century! It is a wonderful place and I know we'll be back again to visit in the future.
