La Chapon provides superb accommodations for family and friends who wish to combine a comfortable holiday villa rental located in Gordes while exploring the local area. This great 6-bedroom villa located within the Luberon National Park near Gordes enjoys wonderful south facing panoramic views of the valley to the Luberon Mountains and onto the Alpilles in the distance to the west. The villa lies within easy reach of Avignon, Apt and the celebrated hilltop villages of Gordes, Menerbes, Roussillon, Lacoste, and Bonnieux. The nearest airports are Marseilles(1 hours drive), and Nimes(1-1/2 hours drive). The nearest shops are 2-miles away in the village of Coustellet, the picturesque village of Gordes is 3-miles, and the medieval walled town of Avignon(known as the city of the popes-7 popes resided here)with its ancient churches and chapels is only 25-miles away. The Golf and Country Club de Provence is 5-miles, near Fontaine de Vaucluse. Other activities include nature trails, bicycling, mountainbiking, or horseback riding. Excellent service is provided by the off site caretaker. At extra cost, meals can be prepared and delivered(or a cook supplied). The villa has automatic gates, an entry phone and alarm, parking for 4 cars, and the garden and terrace provide ample space for outdoor dining with the gas barbecue. There is a large landscaped garden, around 6,000 square meters. A lawn where children can play, a heated pool(with automatic shutters for child safety), boules court(a lawn game), and table tennis. Babysitting can be organized at extra cost and only small pets are allowed with the owner being notified at the time of booking.

The house is spacious and has been newly decorated to a very high standard. On the first floor enjoy the spacious feel of the living room with its high vaulted ceiling. The living room is comfortably furnished with sofas, armchairs, fireplace, and French doors that lead out to a covered terrace. The study/TV room has a TV, dvd, cd, and fax machine. A dining room with flagstone floors and French doors leading to the terrace is off of the large, well equipped kitchen (American fridge/freezer,espresso machine, and integrated stereo system) with a further dining area that leads to an outdoor dining terrace with a gas barbecue. There is a separate utility area with a washer and dryer. A bedroom with 2 twin beds(can be made into a king) and an ensuite bathroom with shower also has French doors that lead out to the terrace. Along with this bedroom there are two other bedrooms on this floor that have king/twin beds. These two bedrooms however share a separate full bath with shower.
On the second floor is the master bedroom that has a king size bed with doors to a private covered balcony, and an ensuite bathroom. Another bedroom on this floor also has a king size bed with an ensuite bathroom.
An annex to the main house has a king/twin bed, with ensuite bathroom with shower. A baby crib and highchair are available in the mainhouse. Please note that smoking is not allowed in the house and included is 4 hours of maid service weekly, with linen and towels, and pool towels changed weekly. Pool maintenance is also done weekly and is included.
A security deposit of 1,000 euros to cover the cost of any damages or breakages to or at the property(this also covers any additional cleaning, and the cost of telephone and/or other service/utilities that are not included in the rental price). Again small pets are allowed but please inform the owner at the time of booking.
