Le Mas Victoire

Surrounded by fields of wheat, wild mustard, olive groves and oak trees, this Luxury villa rental in Provence sits atop the Puyricard plateau, in the heart of wooded hills. A series of small, picturesque roads meander through this lovely retreat, leading to the beautiful gated entrance and white gravel road. Striking views from this plateau include the blue crests of Mt. Ste. Victoire and the Puy du Roi range. A favorable microclimate contributes to the sweetness of the air and the purity of the sky. This is the Provence in picture books, complete with a family of red foxes who choose to live in the neighboring thickets.

The property is approached by a small picturesque road, leading to the gated entrance. The stone house with soft green shutters, faces south, and all the rooms on the ground floor open to a terrace, shaded by a wrought-iron vine-covered pergola. A large wrought-iron ceramic top table, as well as wicker armchairs and a low table, allow for meals, drinks and relaxation in the shade. The terrace extends out to a huge garden (2.5 acres) planted with various trees, herbs and flowers and decorated with Provencal jars and elegant furniture. The swimming pool (17 x 6m) is bordered with lavender bushes, and there is also a pool house with equipped kitchen, refrigerator, grill, dining area, a shower and WC.

The charming village of Puyricad is less than one mile away, offering shops, banks, and municipal tennis courts. There is a farmer's market each Friday morning on the village square, located right next to a beautiful Romanesque church. The lively town of Aix en Provence is less than 3 miles away and the sea can be reached within a 45-minute drive.

Please note that the rental period is a minimum of two weeks. Upon request, weekly, year-round, rentals are available. Included in the price are: Water, electricity, gas, garden and pool maintenance, linens, Internet WiFi, and pool towels. A phone is not available so it is advisable the guest brings a cell phone.




The accommodation is in the main house and a guest house, which has one double bedroom and bathroom. The interiors are furnished throughout to a high standard. The large, light living room has oak flooring, a fireplace and comfortable sofas furnished in neutral shades. This room opens to the terrace through two glass doors, and also extends to a comfortable open-beam ceiling TV room with flat-screen TV, stereo equipment, library desk and cozy sofas. At the rear of the house is a laundry room (washer and dryer), with independent entrance, next to the garage. Beyond the foyer is the kitchen, fully equipped with gas stove, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Also from the foyer one can reach an independent bedroom (queen bed) with beamed ceiling and ensuite shower and toilet. Upstairs are located the three remaining bedrooms. The Master bedroom with king-size bed and ensuite shower, is decorated in warm, neutral tones with lovely wooden furniture. The second bedroom, with queen bed, is a cozy retreat with an exquisite Provencal quilt. The third bedroom, with two twin beds, is imbued with soft tones of yellow ochre and brick red. These two bedrooms share a large, elegant bathroom with bathtub, shower, and a picture window framing the surrounding hills.
