La Sirena

La Sirena is a stunning, new property situated on a hill overlooking the charming village of Donnafugata and the sea beyond. Located just minutes away from Ragusa and Syracuse, the villa offers the perfect venue to discover the treasures of southeast Sicily. This unique property is actually two, identical separate villas, each able to sleep up to six guests for a total of 12 people. To ensure complete privacy, the living spaces face opposite each other and each villa has its own private infinity pool. The interiors are elegant and refined, yet very approachable with comfort in mind. Both offer fully equipped kitchens, double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms with spacious showers, adjustable AC throughout, extra-fast Wi-Fi, Satellite TV, and incredible views over the bay.

Outdoors is a verdant oasis of greenery with a garden fragrant with lavender bushes, palm, olive and lemon trees. A large, furnished terrace with pergola seats up to 12 guests for al fresco meals. The infinity pools beckon with sun beds and superb views over the Sicilian coast (pool towels provided). Next to the
circular pool is a pleasant lawn with a 100-year olive tree, ideal for drinking a glass of Italian wine at sunset.

The sleek, minimalist design of the interior perfectly reflects the dramatic surrounding landscape dominated by the Mediterranean Sea. Sunlight floods through large windows, specifically designed to further highlight this stunning location. Several original oil paintings, along with cozy furnishings, add an intimate atmosphere of vibrancy and warmth. This unique scenery will frame every moment of your holiday; as you wake up in the morning enjoying a lazy breakfast under the terrace, sunbathe on your own private terrace, and prepare delicious meals in the kitchen using fresh, local products.

Sicily’s delicious wines are the perfect accompaniment to the local ricotta-based desserts such as cassata and cannoli. As you leave your exclusive villa, the quaint fishing village of Punta Secca, Montalbano’s scenario, is on your doorstep, offering a small selection of shops and good seafood restaurants. Further afield is Syracuse, with its magnificent Greek and Roman ruins and the splendid baroque towns of Ragusa Ibla, Noto, Modica and Scicli. Along this stretch of coast are also some of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Sicily, encompassing Calamosche, in the Vendicari Nature Reserve, Punta Secca, Isola delle Correnti and San Lorenzo in Marzamemi. The area is quiet and private and just 15 minutes by car from the sea. An added bonus to staying at La Sirena is that the beautiful Castello Donnafugata is a short 300 meter walk away, and within town are a few bars and restaurants at which to dine.
