Villa Buonconvento

This stunning villa is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Tuscan countryside, on the borders of the "Crete Senesi", between Buonconvento and Monteroni d’Arbia, on top of a hill from where the view is simply magical. An avenue of cypress leads to this Tuscan farmhouse, which dates back to the 19th century. Elegantly restored in 2007, the home is furnished with great taste and attention to details, making a perfect combination of the antique elements with modern comforts.

The ground floor of the house offers a spacious living/dining room with fireplace and two doors leading out to the grounds. A graceful arc divides the living area from the country-style, fully equipped kitchen (large fridge/freezer, oven, 6-ring stove, dishwasher, deep fryer, electric plate and grill). A French door in the kitchen opens onto the covered loggia with pizza oven. This beautiful covered loggia, with amazing views over the Tuscan hills, provides refreshing shade during the summer months and is furnished with table and chairs for lunch and "al fresco" dinners. Stairs from the covered loggia lead to a large terrace, ideal solarium and from there to the laundry room. Also located on the ground floor is a study, a service bathroom with shower, a pink double bedroom with ensuite shower bathroom and a blue double bedroom (twin on request) with ensuite shower bathroom.

On the ground floor there is also a service bedroom with a single bed with ensuite shower bathroom and door out to the garden (to be used by one person as an alternative to the third bed in the triple room).

A staircase leads up to the first floor and a long corridor from which guests can access all four double bedrooms and a second kitchen. Each bedroom offers a different color decor (blue, yellow or pink), an ensuite shower bathroom, and queen size beds. The nicely equipped kitchen (with a 5 ring cooker and small fridge) is ideal for breakfast preparation. An external staircase from the corridor on the first floor leads down to the garden.

The house is surrounded by a large expanse of lawn, and located in a sunny, panoramic position, is the pool. It's open from April to October for the exclusive use of the guests.

The nearest village is Ponte d’Arbia, reachable by driving (or walking) along two kilometers of a country road, (one kilometer unpaved) but suitable for every kind of car. In Ponte d’Arbia visitors can find a bar, a grocery and a restaurant. In Buonconvento, just three kms from Ponte d’Arbia, there are restaurants, bars, many kinds of shops and a supermarket. Siena is just 23 kms away from the villa. Montalcino is 18 kms, Pienza is 30 kms, San Gimignano 60 kms, Firenze is 95 kms and Arezzo 91. Rome is 230 kms away.
