Villa Vorno is a luxury villa, designed and furnished for the most discerning of visitors. Situated within easy walking of the picturesque village of Vorno and just a 10 minute drive from the medieval walled town of Lucca, the location is ideal. The décor is rich and bright, using the deep colors of Tuscany in walls and fabrics with a mixture of exquisite antiques, period lighting and modern comfort. Offering six spacious private suites for a maximum of twelve guests, a fully equipped Tuscan kitchen, a stunning dining room with stone fireplace, a formal living room, a sitting room with large screen TV and surround sound, a library, a modern office with telephone, fax, computer, and internet access, laundry facilities and an additional bath, you’re in for a real treat! Extra amenities include pool towels, hairdryers and bathrobes in each suite, and heating and air conditioning throughout. The private Italian gardens are filled with lavender, cypress, magnolia and lemon trees. The flood-lit swimming pool is surrounded with a sun terrace, an Italian gazebo, and plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture. On the ground floor is a fully equipped Tuscan kitchen with butler’s pantry opening out to a stunning dining room with stone fireplace. The kitchen is complete with gas stovetop, oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and portable island workstations for teaching Tuscan cooking. A laundry room and half bath complete the floor. The second floor has a large formal living room with piano and lovely views across the front and back gardens. Beyond is an office with telephone, fax, and computer with internet access. Completing this floor are three large Queen room suites, each distinctively and elegantly decorated and each with its own full bathroom with tub and shower. On the third floor is a library, a large central TV room with satellite TV, DVD, video, and surround sound music system. Three more exquisite bedroom suites (two queens and one that can either be singles or a king) complete the top floor. The entire villa has modern heating and air conditioning to insure your comfort any time of the year. Outside you’ll enjoy the flood-lit swimming pool, Italian gazebo, and expansive gardens. Surrounding the property are olive groves and forests that beckon you to walk, and the little village of Vorno is an easy stroll. You’ll be served by two fulltime maids who will prepare breakfast and keep the villa tidy six days a week, all included in the price.
