Villa Galgano

Villa Galgano is a beautifully restored Tuscan home located just one kilometer from the village of Monticiano. The house is located in a peaceful and very private area at the end of 250 meter dirt road.

This is a wonderful and very comfortable house for groups of up to six people. Large windows and French doors provide lots of natural light and the rooms are very spacious.
This lovely ground floor cottage has been lovingly restored and retains its original features such as wood beam ceilings and terracotta floors. The furnishings are a harmonious blend of antiques and modern.

The entrance door opens onto a very spacious living/dining room with fireplace and kitchen.
The living room features the fireplace, sofas, modern armchairs, a large screen satellite TV and two French doors that open to the garden.
The kitchen is very well equipped with oven, microwave, stove, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, toaster and espresso machine.
One double bedroom with an iron, four poster bed (queen size bed) and a ceiling fan; one double bedroom with a queen size bed, satellite TV and a French door that opens to the garden; one double bedroom (queen size bed) with an iron bunk bed and French door that opens to the garden and the pool.
There is a spacious bathroom with shower and double sink, washing machine and hair dryer; a second bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, and shower with jets. All windows of the house are screened. Internet connection available for free.
Outside a covered furnished terrace provides an excellent spot for "al fresco" dining. On the terrace there is a stone-built barbecue and a pizza oven.
An oval swimming pool (11x 5,50 meters – deep 1,10/1,70 meters) with salt water and with Jacuzzi tub with a seat heating up to 34 degrees, lies below the terrace. By the pool, there is a small bar area with stereo.
In the garden you may meet the two cats that belong to the owners.
The village of Monticiano with restaurants, bar, supermarket, and several other shops is just 1 km away. The town of Siena is 35 kms away.
