Villa Maremma

Villa Maremma is surrounded by vineyards and fields and is located in the southern part of Tuscany, near Monte Argentario promontory, between Porto Ercole and the ancient medieval tower of Talamone. It lies in the heart of the Maremma area, 5 km from the enticing, crystalline waters of the sea, making this area the "pearl" of Tuscany.

Villa Maremma's privileged location makes it easy for guests to quickly reach the nearby natural parks such as the Maremma and Uccellina Parks and nature reserves such as the Orbetello Lagoon and the WWF oasis which is famous for rare animals.

Villa Marmemma can accommodate 14 adults and up to 6 children in 7 ensuite bedrooms. The villa grounds are vast and filled with olive, cork and pomegranate trees. There is also a formal garden area and of course a very large pool that is open from the end of May until the beginning of October.

Villa Maremma is a private family home which is charming and is tastefully decorated with antique furnishing combined with the latest modern technology so as to guarantee a maximum comfort. A stay near the sea in the countryside is an opportunity for guests to experience the Tuscan way of life in a warm and inviting environment where every detail has been carefully attended to.

Layout of Villa Maremma:

There is a large entry area to the villa with three living areas and a library. The rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated as can be seen in the photos. There is a fireplace in the living room and the library is full of books creating a very inviting space for guests. There is a very spacious dining room which can accommodate the entire group and a fully equipped kitchen with 5 burner gas stove, 1 electric oven, microwave oven, American coffee maker, Italian espresso/cappuccino machine, ice maker, food processor, dishwasher, fridge,freezer and of course dishes and cutlery for all guests. There is also a laundry room with washing machine, dryer, iron, and ironing board. On the ground floor there are also two ensuite bedrooms. These can be joined to the living areas to make suites. There is one more ensuite small queen bedroom that is perfect for a nanny, babysitter, chef etc. Finally, there is a water closet.

Upstairs, (there are 19 steps) there are 4 ensuite bedrooms.

In 6 of the bedrooms there is a courtesy kit, bathtub and shower, hair dyers, bathrobes, and luxury toiletries.
Linens and bath towels are changed once a week. There is also a minibar, pool towels, Satellite TV, mosquito nets, and winter/summer linens.



"Il Tramonto" and /or "Florida" are two exclusive beach clubs with bar and restaurants located within easy reach of Villa Maremma.

The area is uniquely rich in major archaeological sites, such as the Vulci Archaeological Park, and is endowed with marvellous museums, such as the City of Cosa Museum, alongside the excavations of the splendid Etruscan city, and the Tarquinia and Vetulonia museums.

The area is only an hour's drive from Sovana. Nearby, you will find Saturnia, with its famous hot springs, and the medieval centre of Capalbio, now a jet-set holiday resort. And Rome, Siena and Florence are but an hour and a half away by car.

Nearby, there are wineries producing and selling both quality red wines, such as Morellino di Scansano DOC, and elegant white wines, such as the famous Vermentino DOC from Capalbio. The winery owners are always pleased to offer tastings of the wines they so expertly produce from their famous vineyards.
